The Rules of the Game 

Format

Two-Person Net Best Ball Stroke Play.
The competition will be contested over 36 holes, with a continuous 18-hole round played each day.
Each flight will consist of six (6) teams.

Scoring

The team with the lowest cumulative 36-hole Net Score in each flight will be declared the Flight Winner. Teams competing in incomplete flights will be paired with a marker assigned by the Costa Palmas Professional Staff. All balls must be holed. There are no conceded putts in stroke play competition.

Handicaps

Each player will receive 85% of their Course Handicap.

Flight Winners: Tie-Breaking

In the event of a tie for Flight Winner or Wildcard position, the tie will be decided by a Chip Off.

Wildcards

Three (3) wildcard teams will advance to the Championship Shootout:

• Wildcards #1 and #2:
  The two teams with the lowest combined 36-Hole Net Scores that do not win their flight.

• Wildcard #3:
  The team with the lowest Net Score on Day Two that does not win their flight.

Championship Shootout

Flight Winners, along with three (3) wildcard teams, will advance to the Championship Shootout. The shootout will take place on the 3rd hole Saturday evening to determine the 2026 La Batalla Overall Champions.

Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf, except where Local Rules are in effect.
